High School Selection Process

Barrington 8th Graders have choice when it comes to where they will attend their four years of high school. Dover High School is one school of record for Barrington, which means that our students are enrolled in DHS following their 8th grade year. Oyster River High School is our second school or record, however, admission is based on a lottery system. Students may also choose to attend Coe Brown Northwood Academy by completing necessary registration materials. Somersworth High School and Cocheco Arts and Technology Academy (CATA) are additional alternate choices for high school selection.
It is important to note that there are additional requirements for acceptance into some schools, as well as the possibility for additional tuition fees.
